Since its first edition in 2018, the trade fair has established itself as a leading event for the entire smart and sustainable mobility value chain, demonstrating steady growth and remarkable maturity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fair will be opened by the Lehendakari (Basque president), Imanol Pradales, and will be attended by the Deputy General of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendoza; the Basque Government\u2019s Minister for Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability, Mikel Jauregi; the Director General of MUBIL, C\u00e9sar Guti\u00e9rrez; as well as other institutional and business representatives linked to the sustainable mobility sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fifth edition will bring together 110 exhibiting companies, compared with 105 in 2024, consolidating its growth in both scale and quality. Of the total number of participants, 16% are international companies, mainly from France, Germany and the Netherlands, whilst 40% come from the rest of Spain and 44% from the Basque Country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A strategic platform for transforming the ecosystem<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond its role as an exhibition, MUBIL Mobility Expo has established itself as a strategic platform for public-private collaboration, capable of fostering meaningful relationships between institutions, leading companies, industrial suppliers, technology centres and sector-specific clusters working in the field of smart and sustainable mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Unai Andueza, Councillor for Economic Development and Strategic Projects, emphasised, \u201cMUBIL Mobility Expo is a strategic pillar within the roadmap that we have been developing over recent years at the Provincial Council, in collaboration with MUBIL, to promote sustainable and connected mobility in the Basque Country. The fair not only showcases our region\u2019s industrial, technological and innovative capabilities, but also helps to strengthen the business ecosystem and establish Gipuzkoa as a leader in the transformation of the mobility sector. Each edition confirms that we are moving in the right direction, accelerating a transition that is having a decisive economic and industrial impact on our region\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the slogan \u201cMobility that transforms\u201d, the 2026 edition will focus on the tangible impact that sustainable mobility \u2013 driven by digitalisation and technological innovation \u2013 is having on industry, regulation, urban development and quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the press conference to launch the event, C\u00e9sar Guti\u00e9rrez, CEO of MUBIL, emphasised that \u201cthe fair has established itself as a key meeting point for the entire value chain of smart and sustainable mobility in Europe. Beyond the exhibition space, it connects those who develop innovative technological solutions with companies, cities and stakeholders who need to implement them. At MUBIL, we work specifically to identify such innovation, drive its development and create genuine opportunities for collaboration and business, making the trade fair one of the most prominent tools for energising the ecosystem and accelerating the transformation of mobility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Greater industrial diversification and technical specialisation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>True to its commitment to evolving alongside the value chain and innovations in sustainable mobility solutions, MUBIL Mobility Expo 2026 has further diversified its exhibitor profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As M\u00f3nica Alday, the fair\u2019s director, pointed out, \u201cthis year\u2019s event has seen an increased presence of manufacturers of electric vehicles, buses and public transport solutions, bicycles and micromobility, as well as specialist machinery and Tier 1 suppliers who supply key components directly to OEMs. This diversification enriches the range of offerings visitors will find at the fair with more technically specialised content, making it a venue that generates business opportunities for strictly professional visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Against a backdrop of decarbonisation, the energy transition and industrial transformation, where many trade fairs have disappeared or lost their relevance, MUBIL Mobility Expo stands out as a true \u201cgem\u201d of a trade fair: an event offering high added value that prioritises quality, specialisation and industrial relevance over sheer volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>France, Partner Country 2026: a quantum leap at European level<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the main new features of this year\u2019s event is the Partner Country initiative, which enhances the fair\u2019s international profile. This year, it will be France\u2019s turn, thanks to a strategic partnership with the French clusters ID4Mobility, NextMove and CARA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This partnership has enabled 12 French companies to get involved and opens up new opportunities for technological and business cooperation with one of Europe\u2019s most dynamic industrial ecosystems in the field of sustainable mobility. For exhibiting companies, this represents a clear opportunity for international expansion and access to new projects and collaborative networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strategic programme and high-level sectoral meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme, developed following a call for abstracts, will address key issues such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>360\u00b0 electric mobility and the transformation of the value chain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Infrastructure and the new energy era<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automated, smart and safe mobility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intermodality and territorial cohesion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Smart urban management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hydrogen and cross-border cooperation within the framework of the PHYRENE project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the fair will host strategic sectoral meetings, cluster assemblies, energy forums and specialist events, establishing itself as a leading venue for decision-making and the forging of partnerships. Among the highlights of this year\u2019s event are the 2nd Sectoral Meeting on Urban Goods Distribution (DUM), the General Assembly of the Basque Country Mobility and Logistics Cluster, the BASQUENERGY Cluster Electric Charging Forum, the private meeting of the PHYRENE Project, the 7th meeting of the BH2C mobility vertical, and the General Assembly of the Direb\u00fas Business Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This knowledge ecosystem is complemented by the City Market Place, designed to link real-world urban challenges with business solutions.
