MUBIL Mobility Expo strengthens its European dimension through a collaboration agreement with three French clusters leading in sustainable mobility

• The strategic agreement with ID4Mobility, NextMove and CARA is part of the fair’s initiative to have a Partner Country—in this edition, France—and ensures a significant participation of French exhibitor companies.

(Donostia-San Sebastián, 16 September 2025). MUBIL Mobility Expo, taking place on 25–26 March 2026 at Ficoba (Basque Country), has reached a strategic agreement with three of France’s leading innovation hubs in sustainable mobility: ID4Mobility, NextMove and CARA. This alliance is part of the fair’s ambition to include a Partner Country in each edition, an initiative driven by MUBIL Mobility Expo to strengthen its international dimension. On this occasion, France has been chosen, which will open up new business and technological collaboration opportunities.

The three clusters forming part of the agreement are European reference points in their respective fields. ID4Mobility, as a competitiveness cluster, focuses its activity on helping project promoters in Brittany, Pays de la Loire, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine to conceive, develop, experiment with, and industrialize high impact solutions for the future of land mobility.

NextMove leads and represents the French “Mobility Valley,” one of the major European innovation ecosystems in automotive and mobility, encompassing the full value chain. From research through industry to services, NextMove brings together the main actors from the Normandy and Paris regions to boost competitiveness and support transition processes.

Meanwhile, CARA, based in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Centre-Val de Loire regions, is a competitiveness cluster that brings together more than 420 members (industrial companies, transport operators, research laboratories and training centres). A European reference, the cluster supports the transformations of passenger and goods transport systems to meet the challenges of public health and ecological and digital transition. CARA assists its members from six sectors: industrial vehicles, automobiles, guided air transport, inland waterway transport, railways, bicycles and micromobility.

These three clusters will bring to MUBIL Mobility Expo their experience, vision and leadership in mobility transformation. In the words of Véronique Rottier, Director of Innovation and Europe at ID4Mobility, “our interest in participating in MUBIL Mobility Expo also lies in enabling our members to discover the Spanish market, and in particular the Basque market, in order to potentially deploy their services/products and establish possible local collaborations.”

Thanks to this agreement, MUBIL Mobility Expo’s European positioning is strengthened, and access to new solutions, technologies and cooperation networks is facilitated. Preliminary data already point to an edition with a high level of participation and significant growth compared to previous years.
