MUBIL Mobility Expo strengthens its international profile and the investment capacity of its buyers

The fifth edition of MUBIL Mobility Expo, the professional trade fair for the sustainable mobility industry in Southern Europe, held on March 25 and 26 at Ficoba, has concluded by reaffirming its position as a key space for professional networking, business opportunity generation, and strategic reflection on sustainable mobility.

The event brought together nearly 1,800 industry professionals, a figure close to that of the previous edition, reflecting a highly specialised trade fair model focused on the quality of attendees.

The hosted buyers programme gains momentum

One of the most notable elements of this edition was the hosted buyers programme — institutions and companies with verified purchasing capacity — which experienced a significant qualitative leap. The fair attracted buyers with an aggregated investment capacity of €450 million, more than double the 2024 figure, when it stood at just over €200 million. While this does not imply direct materialisation during the event, it does highlight the relevance of the contacts generated and the business opportunities opened up for participating companies.

The fair continues to strengthen its international reach

Internationalisation was another key strategic axis of this edition. As a main new feature, the Partner Country initiative was launched, with France as the featured country in 2026. Thanks to an agreement with the French clusters ID4Mobility, NextMove and CARA, 12 companies from the neighbouring country participated, opening new opportunities for technological and business cooperation with one of Europe’s most advanced ecosystems in sustainable mobility.

This alliance represents a step forward in the fair’s European dimension and reinforces its role as a platform for accessing new markets, collaboration networks and joint initiatives. Likewise, the presence of international visitors continues to grow, reaching nearly 10%, further strengthening the event’s outward projection.

According to César Gutiérrez, Director General of MUBIL: “We make a very positive assessment of this fifth edition of MUBIL Mobility Expo, not only due to the quality of participation and the professional profile of attendees, but also because of the fair’s ability to generate valuable connections between companies and key ecosystem stakeholders. This edition reinforces the idea that MUBIL Mobility Expo is already a useful platform to foster collaboration, identify business opportunities and project capabilities in smart and sustainable mobility internationally.”

Conference programme: the voice of the sustainable mobility industry

Beyond the exhibition area, MUBIL Mobility Expo once again stood out for its content programme, designed through a call for abstracts, and for hosting high-level sector meetings. These spaces addressed some of the sector’s main challenges, such as 360º electric mobility and value chain transformation, energy infrastructures, automated and smart mobility, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, intermodality, urban management, and hydrogen development within the framework of cross-border cooperation.

In this way, the fair consolidates its role not only as a technological showcase, but also as a forum for knowledge sharing and collective reflection for all stakeholders in the sustainable mobility value chain.
