The professional trade fair for the sustainable mobility industry in Southern Europe, MUBIL Mobility Expo, will hold a new edition at Ficoba on 25–26 March, confirming the maturity and growth of an event that, since its first edition in 2018, has established itself as a benchmark for the entire value chain of smart and sustainable mobility.
Beyond the exhibition area, MUBIL Mobility Expo stands out for its programme of parallel activities, which enrich the experience for both exhibiting companies and visitors, and reinforces the event’s strategic role as a space for reflection, debate, and opportunity generation.
A central focus of the programme will be the roundtables, whose content has been designed following a call for abstracts among the exhibiting companies, ensuring an approach aligned with the real challenges of the sector. These sessions will address key issues of high relevance to the industry, including:
- 360º Electric Mobility: the transformation reshaping the entire value chain
- Energy powering the industry: infrastructure and the new era of electric mobility
- Mobility of the future: automated, intelligent, and safe
- Smart data management with AI and cybersecurity for connected and autonomous mobility
- Territorial and social cohesion: intermodality, accessibility, and new mobility models
- Urban mobility management based on planning, logistics, and smart governance
- Mobility, hydrogen, and cross-border cooperation in the Pyrenees, within the POCTEFA PHYRENE project.
These roundtables will showcase the breadth of perspectives and cross-cutting nature of sustainable mobility, addressing topics from industry and energy to digitalisation, safety, territorial cohesion, and urban management.
Sector meetings convened at the fair
MUBIL Mobility Expo has also become a true hub for sector meetings, to the extent that many stakeholders choose the fair as the ideal setting for strategic gatherings. This edition will include a sector meeting on autonomous and connected vehicles, the second Sector Meeting on Urban Freight Distribution (UFD), the General Assembly of the Euskadi Mobility and Logistics Cluster (members only), the BASQUENERGY Cluster Electric Charging Forum, a private meeting of the PHYRENE Project (co-financed by the European Union to promote renewable hydrogen), the seventh meeting of the BH2C mobility vertical, and the Assembly of the Direbús Association of Companies (members only).
Complementing this ecosystem of knowledge and networking is the City Market Place, an initiative designed to connect real urban challenges with business solutions. As part of this, MUBIL Mobility Expo will host the roundtable “Pioneering Mobility: Urban Success Stories and Lessons Learned”, organised in collaboration with EIT Urban Mobility. Focusing further on urban mobility, a rapid interview session will explore the different financing mechanisms for electromobility for both users and companies.
Another innovation in this edition of MUBIL Mobility Expo is the launch of MUBIL Mobility Experience, a new format that complements the traditional fair with visits to leading companies in the region.
Together, these initiatives reaffirm MUBIL Mobility Expo’s role as a key event for understanding, debating, and shaping the future of sustainable mobility, combining exhibition, knowledge, public–private collaboration, and opportunity generation in a single space.
